Michigan rockers Pop Evil have a bonafide hit on their hands, their single “100 in a 55″ charting at #8 this week on Billboards Mainstream Rock charts. The track is off of their “Lipstick On The Mirror” release that was recently picked up by major label Universal Records and the ban has been endlessly touring since it’s release with an opening slot on the Judas Priest/Whitesnake tour looming in July.
The album was mixed/produced by hot upcoming producer Chuck Alkazian (Rookie of the Year, Sponge) who turned the band onto Krank amps upon an early remix and was subsequently used throughout the album for the Universal debut. Lead guitarist Tony Greves uses the Krankenstein+ and it’s matching cab which you can hear in action in their current single!
