Today marks the five year anniversary of the untimely death of one of the greatest guitar heroes of our time, Dimebag Darrell Abbott. The masterful Texan riffer became a household name to countless aspiring guitarists with the highly influential band Pantera during the 90’s and singlehandedly kept virtuoso guitar playing on the map in a decade of grunge, industrial, and nu-metal that shunned the very idea.
After the demise of Pantera Dime and his brother Vinnie soldiered on in Damageplan with Dime eventually making the fateful call to the Krank offices that led to the creation of his signature Krank Krankenstein head and forever changed the face of our company. His head is still one of our most popular amps and has been described by many of today’s best players, producers and guitar publications as one of the ultimate metal amps today. He is sorely missed but never forgotten…

Thanks Dime for the many years of brutal riffs you
brought to all of us. May you smoke weed and drink wiskey in heaven
forever brother…
Your deeply missed brother, you’re the reason I’ve pushed myself to be a better guitarist when I was young and still now. Your riffs were tasty and your solo’s cut heads off. When we hung out, that day has definatly become one of my 3 all time greatest moments. Thank you for everything.
Sooo… is Dime using Dean, Krank, Randall or Washburn up in heaven?
Krank of course! :)
i heard he has the new Krank Krankenstein++ 1000w head
Dime sera recordado también en la mente de todas las personas que gracias a su musica tenemos un enhorme tamaño de pelotas
Krank of course. And for guitars I gotta say hissignature Dean ML Series. He only played Washburn and Randall because Washburn offered a good deal. Dean payed him straight up with 150000 to work with him and use his products. Dime is a fucking genious!!!
i still cant believe your gone dime… love and miss you, my favorite guitar god… alex
KRANK AMPS is the only company that is still keeping the name of dimebag darrell in memory…I love the head-shredding sound and I´m proud to be part of the legion of players who make up the KRANK-ARMY.
Dime fucking ruled, Krank amps will whip any other amp company out there, Marshall amps! HERE WE COME, THE KRANK ARMY!
