Where can I get metal grill cloths?
Is this head stereo or mono?
The cab is mono but you can easily wire it for stereo if you know how-
I was wondering if a Krankenstein cab and either a Rev or Rev SST would mix well? Thanks.
Sure they mix great! Really when it comes to what Krank head/cab combo is best it really is very subjective. I can tell you Zach Broderick from Nonpoint likes the Rev+ with a Krankenstein cab… The Rev SST also sounds great with it, the only thing you might want to do if you went that route is put an adjustable jack plate on the Krankenstein cab that would allow you to switch between 4 and 16 ohms as the SST really rocks at 4 ohms…and don’t let that deter you from getting an SST btw, it’s really easy to rewire your cab. Hope that helps!
Will the dirty valve have 4×12?
Actually the origin of the Basszilla cab comes from my idea of combining what used to be my live setup of an 8×10 and a Krank 4×12 loaded with Eminence PA speakers… So while I’m not sure that we’ll ever make a bass 4×12 a stock item it could most certainly be ordered as a custom item, just contact the sales department via sales@krankamps.com for a price quote!
hello, what is the type of solid wood used in the krankenstein cab? i noticed the rev cab has some sort of birch ply, but on these specifications it says solid wood?
thanks
Mickey
Actually both the Krankenstein and Rev cabs have a solid poplar wood shell while the Rev SST cab has a 13-ply baltic birch construction…
Witch one does Brendan Small of Dethklok use….the krank revolution or krankenstein?
And if i was to get the krankenstein cab with the Krank + head would i get a much more brutal lower heavier tone thats so powerful or is there no difference?
Brendon has used the Krankenstein mostly… The main difference in the cabs is the speakers as the Rev and Krankenstein cab are constructed the same. The Krankenstein has Eminence Texas Heat speakers that are a wattage rated a little higher at 150W each and they have a more open top end and boomer low end. Both cabs sound great with the Krankenstein+ tho so it comes down to a matter of preference!
4×12 ~ 600W speaker. Could Krankenstein+ handle it ? 120W power tube really play with 600W speaker ?
The Krankenstein cab is rated at 600W as each Texas Heat speaker in it is a 150W speaker…and yes the Krankenstein+ easily pushes that cab! In layman’s terms tube watts are far more powerful that solid state watts and the cab was designed to match the Krankenstein head…
HOLY SHIT! can u use 2 cabs to produce 1200W of POWER!!!???
Hey there i was wondering, if i were to purchase a Cab. This one is the one i am looking at. And I were to temporarily use my marshall head wich is a (Avt150h) 150 watt non Tube. Which can run at 4 Or 8 ohms, if it would damage the Cab. Or is there a way to run it untill i can afford the head as well
Oh no Chris you’d be able to run the cab with that head until you can afford the Krankenstein+. Solid state heads aren’t particular about what ohm cab they’re run into so you’re all good to go…
I just got a krankenstien cab it’s inputs say 16 ohm parallel but my amp only has a single 16 ohm out which one do I plug it into?
Plug into the 16 ohm on the amp and either jack on the cab and you’re good to go…
how much does this cab weigh?
it’s around 85 lbs unboxed…
Have you guys ever thought of putting in selector switches of some kind to enable/disable specific speakers in the unit? That way a 4×12 could be used live, but with the flick of a switch, converted to a 1×12 for studio recordings.
Not a bad thought but to do that right you’d almost want to chamber it which drives costs up…but an idea none the less!
Hmm, but if the other 3 speakers were disabled, would the 1 that’s on really need to be chambered?
However, I think I’m really leaving the scope of this page.. so I’ll stop asking questions, heheh
… I’d still like an answer to this question, though, heheh :)
Still there, catero?
Damnit, dude!!!

hey, how many decibels does this thing put out?
Not sure the total but A LOT!!!!!!! Very loud amps into well built cabs…
Will there ever be a 2×12 speaker cab made for this or the Rev heads?
We used to make a 2×12 but discontinued them a couple years ago. Truthfully getting two Jr. 1×12 cabs is a better option as you can do exactly what the 2×12 can simply by stacking them BUT with two 1×12’s you have the flexibility to angle them differently, place one behind you and one in front of you as a personal monitor, spread them wide on stage, etc. Deff more versatility from venue to venue!
Just getting back from NAMM!
