The Rev Jr. cabinet is one versatile little cab! It was originally designed as a studio cab prototype at the Krank factory and was used a lot during the development of the Rev Jr. heads. We liked the look and sound so much what was going to be a combo became a stack!
It features the same construction as the Rev 4×12, using a solid poplar shell and is loaded with the same premium Eminence Legend V12 speakers. Because the Legend is rated at 120W this cab easily handles full size heads as well and is ideal for home rehearsal, studio use, club gigs, or personal onstage monitoring.

How does the Rev Jr. cabinet sound loaded with the Texas Heat Speaker? I want to match the cabinet to the Krankenstein Jr. head and still sound authentic.
Truthfully we tried the Texas Heats in the Rev Jr. cab with the Krankenstein Jr. and we just simply liked the Legend better in that application. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact the Texas Heat is rated at 150W and seemed to break better with the larger wattage full size Krankenstein. Tho tone is subjective and individual so if you decided you want a Jr. cab with a Texas Heat loaded in it that could be special ordered, you would need to call into the shop and ask for sales…
Can i plug the Krankenstein+ head for 4×12″ cab in the Jr. cabinet 1×12″ for home recording because i cain’t have a 4×12″ at home and i woul like to keep the soud of the Krankenstein+. Is it bether to use the Krankenstein jr in the rev jr. cab or the real big Krankenstein+ would soung bether?
You can deff use a Krankenstein+ into a 1×12 Jr. cab for home recording. As to whether you want to use the Krankenstein+ or the Krankenstein Jr. I’d say it’s really a matter of taste here and experimentation. Both will sound good! I used both on my own band’s latest album and had killer results with both. If you want to hear what I’m talking about there’s a tune on my artist page called “Dark Devotion” that is a combo of both, you can check it here….maybe that helps a bit?
is it closed back or open?
The Rev Jr. cab is a closed back cab stock…
Your measurements on the 1×12 cabinet are all wrong….
Yes they were! For some reason the big cab measurements were on there, thanks for the heads up!
The measurements still look wrong. For a 12″ speaker 2 out of 3 of the dimensions need to be larger than 12″.
Yep we struck out again…the head dims got put in! Should be fine now…and thanks for keeping us straight!!!! :)
