The Rev Jr. Pro line of small but powerful lower wattage tube amplifiers is one of the most popular amps Krank has made to date. Expanding on the original Rev Jr., The versatile 20W and 50W versions are footswitchable and have the added features of treble and bass controls on the Kleen channel. The Rev Jr. Pro’s circuit is very similar to the 120W Rev + in design and offers the same raging high gain sounds it’s big brother delivers! Features include a 3-band eq, parametric mid-sweep, gain, separate volumes for Krank and Kleen channel, “Boost” button for more drive, active effects loop, ohm selector and voltage selector for worldwide use.
These amps are excellent studio amps as well as being ideal for band rehearsal and club gigging. The matching 1×12 cabs and great for practice as well as miking up nicely in the studio, giving you great separation without the phasing that can accompany miking a 4×12. GEAR USED: Rev+, Nineteen80, Rev Cab, Nineteen80 Cab, Rev Jr. Cabs.
At the age of 8, I inherited a bass from my uncle, who died tragically in a motorcycle accident in San Leandro, CA.....
Does the effects loop function as the master volume for the amp when activated.
It can in a way as it will allow you to push the preamp and adjust the overall volume from the loop fx level when activated…
Would a Sovtek 6L6WXT+ fit into this? I’m having trouble looking for 5881/6L6WGC in my country.
No those won’t fit in it unfortunately :( However you can get them from our webstore if you’re having a hard time locating some, we ship all over the world!
Which of the JR 50watt range has the better clean sound? I’m looking for something that does that fender twin clean but has your 80′s modded rock sound…Cheers J
Hmmm Depending on how much gain you want on the Krank channel the Rev Jr. Pro 50W or the Nineteen80 Jr. 50W both have good clean channels. The Nineteen80 Jr. is deff more of the warm midrange with more of a juiced up early 80′s 800 gain structure but the Rev Jr. also has a nicer clean with the gain obviously being more high gain in nature. Both sound great…I’d hit up the product pages to see some videos to get an idea-
how does the Rev Jr 50w compare to the Krankenstein Jr 50w? can you get as good distortion tones from the Rev? im absolutely torn as to which one to get.
They have a similar flavor and both sound great and like their full size versions. Absolutely you can get the cool distortion tones of the Rev! If you’re already partial to that amp go for the Rev Jr. Pro…
what are the main differences between the 50w Rev Jr Pro and the 50w Krankenstein Jr? im in a metal band and need a tube amp, and im split between which amp to get. i want a good distortion tone, but i also want good flexibility, can the Rev Jr get really good distortions like the Kstein?
The Rev Jr. Pro sounds killer, deff can get the awesome distortion tones!
Would there be any issue running the 50 watt version into a 212, loaded with a celestion greenback and a celestion v30, like in framus cabs?
No issue at all!
