Black Metal Box was formed in 2007 by Guitarist Kevin Mantooth and is based in Phoenix, Arizona. Front man Sully, Guitarist Andrew Bulock, Von Munzinger on Keys, Bassist Larry Myers and Drummer Jim McKelvey complete Black Metal Box.

In mid 2007, the band recorded the self-titled three song EP, “Black Metal Box”. In October of 2008 the song “Fallen” was entered in “Our Stage .com” in the “METAL” genre for best new music, and out of 415 bands was able to take 1st place. This EP was co-produced and engineered by Larry Elyea of Minds Eye Studios. In 2009 the self titled album “Black Metal Box” was recorded at Minds Eye Studio, done by Larry Elyea. The tracks were handed to Saltmine Studios and were mixed and mastered by John Grey.

The bands influences include; Metallica, Killswitch Engage, Static X, Disturbed, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, and many more. The music has a “Dark Crushing Sound” that will keep you entertained throughout the songs. And their live performances will bring immense energy and great crowd interaction.

Black Metal Box is currently performing at live venues throughout the Phoenix Metro area and was opening act at the Rock Solid Pressure Industry Showcase in September 2010.The band also will be presented with the award for “Breakthrough Album of the Year” at the Phoenix Music Awards in Hollywood in November. We are endorsed by Krank Amplification, have 6 national Street Teams and one in the U.K. Additionally, Black Metal Box has received frequent radio play on KWSS 106.7 FM and has been played on KUPD 97.9 FM. We were 5th most requested on Pure Rock Radio in 2009, and placed first in the one shot competition for Rock Solid Pressure. We won the Playdio Homeless for the Holidays in 2008 And opened for Trapt at the Tempe Market Place. Our MySpace page sports over 5,056,061 plays. The momentum continued, and METAL SAFARI went out on a 6-date headlining Asian tour in 2007, playing in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China, where they headlined “MODERN SKY FESTIVAL 2007″. The popular demands also brought them to Europe,where they participated in 12-date tour throughout Poland alongside of such
acts as VIRGIN SNATCH, THY DISEASE, and MAHAVATAR. METAL SAFARI earned their place in the history of Japanese metal as the first-ever extreme metal band played in the mainland China, and also as the first metal band ever toured in Poland (after visual-kei rockers DIR EN GREY). These are ALL done independently, without any support from labels.

Domestically, METAL SAFARI participated twice in “Ju-Ongaku-Sai” (Heavy Music Fest), the biggest festival of Japanese metal/hardcore bands, first as one of the main stage acts and then as the headliner. METAL SAFARI also supported THY WILL BE DONE and CALIBAN on their Japan tours, and shared the stage with from LOUDNESS to EDGE OF SPIRIT, or to SUNS OWL and BLOOD STAIN CHILD. Not only did these activities put them at #7 of domestic independent bands of all genres, #1 of Metal bands, #1 of Hardcore bands, and #1 of Thrash bands in “Top Artist Chart” on MySpace.com, but METAL SAFARI became
the most-awaited Japanese band to play at “LOUD PARK”, the biggest metal festival in Japan.

And in September 2010, METAL SAFARI are finally going to release an album to the world through the Japanese label SPIRITUAL BEAST. This independent emperor of the Japanese extreme metal scene will embark on a domestic tour to coincide with the release. *HIRO was the winner of “GIT Masters 2002″, an annual event hosted together by Young Guitar magazine, ESP Guitars and M.I. (Musicians Institute) Japan in order to discover next-generation guitar heroes, at the age of 22. He was spotted by Marty Friedman (ex-MEGADETH) for his talent during this event. He has also performed as a demonstrator at NAMM SHOW and Music Fair in Japan.

Formed in 2004, Italian deathcore band Five Days of Rain become one of the most neckbreak young acts of the scene.

Fellow Krank artists Fozzy and Razer have teamed up for some special one-off dates, kicking off this weekend in Phoenix, AZ at Club Red in Tempe during wrestling’s biggest weekend. The second show is scheduled for Apr. 28th in New York City at the famous BB King’s venue.

Fozzy features WWE superstar Chris Jericho on vocals with Stuck Mojo’s mastermind Rich Ward on guitar as well as Sean Delson and Frank Fontsere from the Mojo camp. Fozzy’s “Chasing The Grail” came out in late January and is being touted as one of the year’s best metal releases thus far.

Wolf started to play guitar as a kid in his hometown Pardubice/The Czech Republic/Europe/. He was influenced by oldschool hard core and metal
bands (S.O.D., Prong, Napalm Death, Anthrax…). He played in number of bands in The Czech Rep. and in 2009 he joined hard core/metal band StreetMachine. Thischoice was one of the most important things in existence of this band because his power and energy make this band better than ever. Another Wolf´s activity is his job in StreetSound studio which he owns with StreetMachine drummer and also playing in hard core band Distance.

Baptized by the music of AC/DC, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Rush and Iron Maiden, Rich “The Duke” Ward began his illustrious career in rock as a founder of Stuck Mojo, the pioneering act that helped to define the genre that became known as “rap metal.” Many of the band’s ardent fans would went on to create similar groups of their own using the Mojo formula, with acts such as Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach and others going on to multi-platinum success. Although they never reaching such status, Mojo would eventually release seven albums, tour the world a dozen times, and establish an army of fiercely loyal fans from Europe to Japan, Australia to Brazil and beyond.

Rich hooked up with wrestling superstar Chris Jericho in 2002 and formed Fozzy, in the beginning basically being the world’s greatest metal cover band. Strangely enough though before their third gig together they were offered a record deal which also included the filming of a 30 minute mockumentary about the band detailing its fictitious past and eventual rise to fame. Since then fact would prove to be stranger than fiction with Fozzy having gone on to record five albums, have performed live on national television and the Howard Stern show among others, played live internationally, and has written music for and performed in a commercial for a well-known soft drink. Rich has also released one solo album, “I Am The Duke”, which was a very personal statement including many of his musical loves, including acoustic, hip hop, and rock.

For Fozzy’s latest release, ‘Chasing the Grail’, they blend old and new school metal elements featuring Rich’s killer musicianship topped with Jericho’s charismatic vocals. Rock N’ Roll ain’t dead. It’s Alive!

It’s Alive was spawned from the underbelly of sunny Lake Mary, Florida in 2008.
